Hey guys! This month I’m going to be doing some general updates on my NaNoWriMo progress. You’ll see how I’m progressing, get some insider looks at what I’ve written each week, and see some of the stuff that goes into creating a book!

NaNoWriMo: Week 2

Projects: Star Supernova (Blue Star Series, Star Trilogy #2), Prequel to The Curse of Broken Shadows

Word Count: 34,020 / 50,000 ( updated count on the NaNo website)

Details: Well, I predicted this week would not be as groundbreaking as last week. I’m no longer rewriting the scenes that I had previously finished for Star Supernova so all of those 10K words over the last seven days were brand new. That doesn’t include any weekend writing because that’s a boundary I’ve set for myself. The nice thing is that to reach my goal of 50K at the end of the month, I only need a daily word count of about 800 words which is much more reasonable for my current circumstances. The nice thing is that I’m at an action-packed scene in TCOBS prequel so that’s making the words come quickly. The hard part is that those scenes actually require a lot of brain power so when they are done, I feel as exhausted as my characters. But… fight scenes!
